Northbrook Junior High's 6th, 7th, & 8th grade basketball teams are interscholastic programs for girls and boys.  The teams practice or play a game virtually every school day from the start of November through the last week of January.  Due to gym constraints, practices vary from day to day and they may run from either 3:45 to 5:15pm or 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. Coaches will provide their players with practice schedules and game schedules. Players must provide their own transportation home from practices.  The improvement of skills, effort, sportsmanship and teamwork will be stressed in practices as well as in games. Tryouts for both teams will take place during the last week in October and the first week of November. 
Each player is required to have an up-to-date athletic physical examination form on file at the Health Office before they are able to try out.
